Top shelf, includes Polybau. The Milgard and the Certainteed are a few shelfs down. Anlin which makes a very nice product will be lower in price than Polybau and a step up from Milgard and Certainteed.

Fenex is now listed in the armed and dangerous category. About a week without nicotine is serious. I wouldn't get to close to him for another 7-10 days. Seriously Fenex, I quit about 8 weeks ago with a product called chantix. It's available with a prescription from your Doc and works very well. If y...

In the upper Midwest going from a hot humid summer into what seems like winter seals up the moisture inside the home when we lock it down and close things up for the winter that moisture and any additional moisture created by the occupants shows up on the windows. Especially if the temp's drop quick...

I've seen it in some, it's probably there to get people to pay attention to the warranty. We supply a condensation guide with each sale and let people know in advance if theres moisture the first thing they should do is check their humidity which is the culprit in 90% of condensation calls.

The price of argon is so minimal I would even include it in Fla. It helps in reducing outside noise and for those rair cooler eves somewhat also. Perhaps FenEx could tell us is it does anything for a/c cost as it is more dense than air so it's insulating properties could be of some help.

Waunakee Remodeling is a good local co, but the Renewal is a bit overpriced, or should I say a lot. Since your job is casements it's not as big an issue as Renewals double hungs which have sub-standard test. Remember the Renewal is simply vinyl and sawdust extruded together and though they claim it ...

I'm not FenEx but I have had this done and I'm sure FenEx can fill in the blanks. I'm only chiming in because it gets expensive. My sister had some very ornate glass in a large window in her stairway landing to the second floor. Since the entire sash was in need of some repair and the glass needed t...

The Imperial LS another one of their windows has comparable numbers. I posted about a month ago asking about that one. I handled Soft-lite years ago and wasn't very impressed, but these numbers are impressive along with their many exterior color options. One of my questions is does it have equal lit...

Everyone loves to beat up Silverline, and while I agree there no where near the middle shelf their 9500 series is a decent value. U-value with foam and no grids .31, air infiltration .14 and a design pressure of 45. All of those numbers beat the Andersen Renewal in each category, but the silverline ...

JimInMa, thats outrageous for triple glaze, and makes it a very poor investment. A typical 1600 sq ft ranch home in Madison, Wisconsin saves some where in the neighborhood of $40-$80.00 per heating season using triple glaze over double. That extra $2000.00 or more in the bank will give you back many...

waterguy, if you think Champion is the best of that three, you'd better go back and take another look at Gilkey. Champion's vinyl is like a wet noodle when compared to Gilkey. The only thing exceptional about Champion is their price. Exceptionally high for the quality received.

dm, I guess I should have replied to this thread instead of the Comforworld one but your points reinforce what most window dealers know, WW is very suspect when it comes to quality and professionalism.
