Re: Deformed interior gasket - Vytex

You can certainly swap the IGUs and the windows should be fine. Might even ask Vytex for just a flat fee to do it and save yourself the hassle. If they have that option.

Re: Brands to consider for Denver Colorado

Correct.

Marvin, while pretty, probably doesn't belong on the playing field with other high end, more specifically high performance, fiberglass. That said, these are casements so the point is mostly moot.

Re: Brands to consider for Denver Colorado

In theory, the gas leakage isn't supposed to continue happening. Argon costs you about 20% in efficiency if its all gone.

Re: Windows in Central NJ

Couple of contractors on here service NJ, depending on the part.

Definitely stay with the Fortis or Potomac level quality.

Re: Recent window install

Is that "finished"?

I can see what they maybe didn't want to cap with the shutter hinges, but you can still install some molding or something to cover that. And it should be sealed.

Anlin is pretty well regarded. Would only add that one to the list of the two that you mentioned.

Re: Brands to consider for Denver Colorado

Dark bronze is all the rage. On the capillary tubes, I would check with the supplier as to what they need to do. I thought some of them were made at altitude. Really depends on what the lower spec is and what you want the look to be. No reason not to use a quality vinyl product if it meets your aest...

Re: Pricing Question On Okna 600

Polaris ThermaWeld will about as much glass as the Okna 500/600.

The UltraWeld, while a more robust product than the ThermaWeld, does have a larger frame.

Either or on paint of foil laminate. The foils are a bit less sensitive to handling than the paints.
