Re: Do Sunrise NRG IGUs appear visually different from non-NRG?

There is no visible difference between the NRG IGU vs the normal IGU. The difference doesn't have to due with the low e coating but the nominal thickness of the glass on th4e outer pane. We mix and match NRG and NRG all the time.

Re: Would like your opinion on this quote

The interior trim package would be an additional add on. We would normally install new casing at the job for cost reasons. The prefinished interior casing is super nice with absolutely perfect miters but can be expensive.

Re: Would like your opinion on this quote

You can get the full frame Brickmould option with a nailing function also. But if you have brick home it wouldn’t really be feasible to install that way. That built in Brickmould option is more cost than a standard full frame install because of the product cost difference. It’s not only more time an...

Re: MI 1556 Window vs NT Window

That model is the mid grade window for a low end manufacturer. The 1650 is their best product and most window pros still wouldn’t recommend that product. The air leakage rate on their best product is in the high teens, which you will undoubtedly experience draftiness.

Re: Replacing windows - Now lost

Zero failures vs 50%, gotta call bs on that. I’ve probably sold 15-20,000 mezzos. Over a period of 7-8 years yes I’d stand behind my statement that that you’ll have seal failure in a very high rate. Maybe not 50% of customer will get one but a lot. I’m not saying 50% of windows will get seal failur...

Re: Replacing windows - Now lost

Number for does not need to cap Since he is quoting the built on brick mold it is a much different type of installation and will look amazing when finished. There is absolutely nothing wrong with capping the windows and has pretty much industry standard. The one guy maybe doesnt have a brake to do i...

Re: Company installed different windows that quoted

I personally would prefer the Mezzo to any of the MI windows. Even with its hollow frames & stick on weatherstripping I think it’s better. The sash slop I’ve seen on MI is the worst I’ve ever seen. May not be the case all the time but I’ve seen it more than once.. The two products are usually cl...

I do like the Sunrise NRG glass, i think its a great, more affordable alternative to laminated.
Is NRG triple pane or double pane? Im guessing they make the spacing uneven?
Double pane and as Todd described below

Re: Sunrise Restoration Windows

I do the NRG glass on multiple jobs per month. Customers seem to love it. A story for you... I had a longtime customer buy a new house to sale. He “cheated” on me and used another a supplier for this house that was about 70ft from the interstate. After a long time he finally got the house under cont...

Re: Atlanta Replacement Windows - Okna vs Sunrise and Brickmould Questions

The sunrise full frame system in the video is the window with built on exterior Brickmould and new premade interior casing from sunrise. The company quoting full frame already stated they’re not removing the old casing and installing new. The Brickmould option is a very nice touch and looks great bu...

Re: Atlanta Replacement Windows - Okna vs Sunrise and Brickmould Questions

I’m not going to comment on the product because you have two great products and both will service you well. The full frame system with the built in Brickmould is one of the nicest replacement window systems. (I’m a dealer so maybe a little biased) but what you get is the same look you have now witho...

Re: Windows with highest STC rating available in North Florida (Jakcsonville)

Triple pane isn’t going to do much for the stc. On the test I’ve seen. The best options are laminated or dissimilar glass. You can get a similar rating on dissimilar glass units and usually less $ than the laminated. I’d double check the warranty with laminated glass btw. I’ve seen several manufactu...

What a small world. I literally just met the owner of this company in Florida a few weeks ago. Can’t speak to the business practices other than they are a legitimate company. Sounds like the Restorations is a great deal and would serve you well As far as the private label, I just private labeled our...

Thanks for the vote of confidence masterext and Homesealed. I’m not going to self promote just want to clear up the fact that we are not a franchise or national. Although maybe one day 😁. Locally owned here in Cincinnati with locations in those markets you mentioned. Good luck in your decision Chris...
