Repairing a sill is a very easy fix. I wouldnt base my decision on a full frame tear out on some rotted sills.
Fyi, many consumers mistake chipped paint as sill rot when in fact its just chipped paint.

I have no idea who he is. He says that he wrote 3 or 4 books on windows. I dont know how anyone can write 3 or 4 books on windows unless each book is 3 pages long. Are they window murder mysteries?

I think the soft lite is the better window and soft lite are a very legitimate window manufacturer. Although provia doesnt make a bad window, to me they will always be a door company. I am also not fond of the way they foam fill their extrusion which to me is a joke.

I agree with Randy. The Vanguard is a higher end window and well designed. Windows that utilize weep holes are poorly designed and its cheaper for the manufacturer. if you are in northern VA, you may want to reach out to Eric at Windows in Washington. They are a solid company and Eric is a very nice guy and is very knowledgeable. He uses a very nice looking product and its more efficient than the 2 you mentioned.

If I remember correctly a .27 uvalue. They used cardinal glass with their stainless spacer. They are also one of the only companies that offer a “ cream white” option.
