Any point to reflective coatings on windows with NO sun exposure?
Any point to reflective coatings on windows with NO sun exposure?
If I have windows that face north or otherwise never get ANY sun exposure in the DFW area of Texas, is there any point to getting Low-E on the outside glass? Seems like it would only serve to diminish how much light you get through the window. How much influence does it have on radiant heat from just a hot summer Texas day?

I see not reason to not get a window with Low-e and even less reason to not do so in Dallas.
You can get a different range Low-e if you are concerned about tint, but there is no scenario where you shouldn't get Low-e.

Definitely want a lowE coating or else you are wasting your money.

+1. Even on windows without sunlight to block (which isn't always desirable), low e will still prevent heat/energy loss. That's the much more significant function in cooler climates, but will be relevant and useful even in your area.
