Hello there,
I have about 20 double hung windows to replace on a builder grade materials mid 1990’s home.
1. I want to replace them for casement windows.
I find them easier to use and I love the screen on the inside. I like to open my windows, weather and pollen permitting.
2. Heat insulation and Noise reduction are very important to me.
3. Style: I like clean contemporary lines. Think Pella Architect series kind of looks. I don’t like nooks and crannies to clean and take a part etc.
4. I want a low maintenance window. More renewable source material.
5. Summers here are like in the Amazon, hot and humid. It rains a lot. So rot, mold and mildew are a big concern.
I am looking for a mid-range price range, easy operation (nice crank operation), with great durability and quality. Again heat, noise and moisture are big concerns.
Which casement windows would you recommend? Which should I make sure to stay away from?
I appreciate your time and expery advice!
Warm regards
anavigation
