Hello,
I just got a quote for replacing one ageing aluminum sliding door with a new Pella impervia sliding door (standard size, not custom). Quote was 5K installed , was wondering if that seems high? not sure with covid and construction costs inflating

Re: Impervia sliding door
Less concerned about the price of the door than I am the quality.
Costs are DEFINITELY up.
For a fiberglass door, that is cheap. For a good fiberglass door, really cheap.

Price is good. Quality of the impervia door? Not a fan.

+1. Pricing is fine, but you may want to check out some other product options based on quality and performance.

The only SGD that Pella makes that I endorse is the Lifestlyes or Architect.
If I was looking at a fiberglass SGD i would look at Marvin Essential.
If I wanted the best bang for the buck I would look at Okna Elegante(8800)

I'd try to find something more airtight personally. Leaky patio doors are a big source of complaints

I would agree leaky and difficult to operate( sometimes this is a maintance issue- dog hair or lubrication).
