Replacing 22 windows in Greater Seattle

#1 Post by soumyabanerjee1 »

I am looking to replace 22 aluminum windows and 1 patio doors by Vinyl windows. Most of the options suggested in this site are not available in Seattle area. I have got quotes for Simonton daylight max, Milgard trinsic, Coeur d'Alene windows(a local company) and Anderson. The quotes range 25000 to 35000 USD for these which seems pretty high. Some of the quotes claim they will be do a full replacement and that is better over pocket installation. Please guide.

A full frame install will cost more. The details are very important since they typically replace trim on both sides and they have to tie into the existing weather barrier when doing this. Both install methods can be excellent but a full frame is superior. The method I’d choose would be dependent on various factors such as your existing trim inside and out and siding.

Any pictures of your current windows? If the current window is a drywall return, the difference between full frame and insert is actually nothing in may cases.
