Slimmest 2 and 3-lite sliders?

#1 Post by emily23 »

Hi! I have old 1980's aluminum sliders. Window companies keep telling me there are no more aluminum options only vinyl; but vinyl sliders are all very thick. My aluminum ones have a slim low profile frame. Any options for me? I cannot install them myself, so would need to have a company help.

Where is the home? They still make thermally broken aluminum, but it is not the norm.

+1, the location of the home will dictate what you will have readily available. If you are in a warmer climate aluminum can be a good choice and shouldn't be hard to find. In colder areas, not so much. If the latter, Sunrise and Okna are slimmer lined vinyl options, with some fiberglass windows being fairly narrow as well.
