Lead Safe Charge

#1 Post by billyself »

Was quoted $75 per window to comply with Lead Safe procedures. Is this a reasonable amount??

Yes.

Prices vary. Some folks do it for less and it seems like a lost leader at that point to me, but that is in the range we charge.

Thanks for the reply. Getting Okna 500dx installed for $875 per window by a highly rated installer. No grids unfortuately they want $100 per for gbg. May try to McGuyver my own...

Personally...not a fan of grids. See how they look, decide from there.

That's a great deal these days on a nice window.

As WoW alluded to, that charge doesn't seem crazy for lead safe, but I'd be very careful about overthinking individual charges. There are a lot of different pricing structures, some that make more sense than others, so I'd focus more on the end product price and its fairness. Again, you are in great shape on that front.
