Got a Softlite Imperial Elite bid $890 per window. Only SL installer besides Zen in my area, 4.9 star reviews no salesman push.
Received an Okna 500 bid haggled and got them to match the $890. 4.9 star reviews also (and gave me a list of jobs they've done with addresses and such.) Put down a deposit but have 48 hrs to reneg
Informed the Softlite guy and he dropped his price to $790 per.
I'm thinking of asking the Okna guy to drop to $850 per, or add the grids I want (they were asking $100 per for gbg top sash only) way overpriced when everyone else was $40 per window.
Gotta decide ASAP and I'm also totally done with the window buying process at this point.
What would you do???

Thank you. I was wondering how you got to the ~800 price point per window. Looks like you have standard sizes across the board.

They are not standard sizes, they are common sizes. All replacement windows are custom sized. Doesnt make a difference if its 32 x 60 or 33 x 59.

I went with the Okna for $850. Didn't think it would matter to me but slightly more glass and better looking window. Also, I'm in MA the Okna guy 30 miles away in Southern NH Softlite guy 60 miles away Southern MA. I prefer the installer is closer in case something goes wrong and I have to drive up there and crack some heads

Billy sounds like good reasoning.
You will like the Okna.

Good choice.
I don't think that you would have gone wrong either way, however I favor the Okna. More glass, better u value, still owned and operated by "window guys" as opposed to having sold out to an investment firm... although it seems as though everyone is going that route these days.
