New windows tomorrow

#1 Post by Todd »

I'm finally getting new Schuco windows installed tomorrow. Thanks for all the advice! I'm replacing windows because of water leakage. Mostly casements with circle tops and 2 DH.

I recently read a post from Guy to Mark making a checklist for the installation. Since I know nothing about the details of installation, I'll have to trust the installers. Since my problem was water leakage, when the installation is complete--should I hose the outside and make sure there is no water leak, or does the caulk have to set for a period of time?

Thanks

Todd let the caulk dry for a couple days. Then let it rip. Don't spray it in a stream right at the cracks. Just spray above each window and let it run down.
