Hello, We are interested in building a new home. We are trying to figure out the cost for various items. We know what kind of windows we want we would like to know...how much will a contractor be charging for installation?? We would like a base price so that we are not ripped off. Thank for any help anyone can give!
Most new construction applications are built into the framing costs. The framers usually have it in their bid. The average fee would be around $30 per opening. This all depends on what they do to prep the opening and any finish taping. More than likely if you ask they will have no clue what they charge. A lot of framers just know it's part of their job to put them in. So they throw in a small fee to do it. It's very easy for them to do it with a lift on site. Good Luck!!!
