Need help in identifying a window brand
Hi folks. I need to replace the lower sash in several windows, but don't see a window brand stamped anywhere. On the window hardware there is a "GA", but I've not been able to track down what that brand is. (it may be "CA", but I believe "GA" is correct)
If it helps to post a picture, I can do that as well.
Thanks all! This has really been frustrating.

Randy,
You probably need another post or two to attach a picture. Try posting it again or linking it from another photo site or similar.

Here is a pic of the hardware (link below), the only thing on the window with markings.
There is a sticker, but its just AAMA info. If a picture of something else would help, please advise ... again THANKS!

Randy,
The lock isn't going to tell you much unless is it branded to that window. Most locks are not. I will confess to not recognizing anything there in that picture.
Try a picture from further back to show the window and if it tilts in, check the head pocket and/or sides.
I will say this, based on the age of the unit, you might have trouble sourcing that sash.

+1. Looks like a design that is 20+ years old. Quite possibly a manufacturer that is no longer around.
What is the reason for replacing the entire sash? Most of the parts (glass, hardware, etc) could be replaced individually if defective. The other factor of course is the ROI if you are talking about replacing pieces that could be somewhat pricey on a window that may be at or near its life expectancy... Just something to think about...

Thanks, gang. A few more photos below. The window slides up and down, not out.
The house was built in 2003, so I doubt the windows are as old as you are thinking. Every window in the house has the same hardware, btw. There are no markings anywhere that I can see as to a brand/model for these windows (I've opened several windows and looked all over)- thus my posts here.
Again, I appreciate all of the help!

I have the answer for you. It's a window from General Aluminum in Carrollton, Texas They seem to be still in business. The window has a 10 year warranty from what I read.
Here's a post on Swissco's website, who is a parts supplier for current and old discontinued windows.

AWESOME! Thank you so much.
There are several dealers in town, so I'll look one up.
Much appreciated!

Re: Need help in identifying a window brand
Window4U coming through!
... Great to have a source for parts. Despite not being quite as old as thought, it would still be wise to consider the overall condition and performance of the existing units and the cost of repairs, vs replacement once you have those numbers in hand. I have no familiarity with that product, however a 10 year warranty on a vinyl window probably speaks to the quality, and not in a good way.

Right. Builder grade, obviously.
I'm getting ready to sell the house, so trying/hoping to get out of this without replacing the whole darn thing. Got about 4 of them in this condition.
Apparently, there have been a lot of complaints with these windows. On top of that, the crappy warrantly only applies if you are the original owner.
Here are a couple of threads, if curious
