I just received a quote for Preservation Reserve double pane windows (40 windows) to replace 13 year old wood framed windows. The house is located in Georgia.
The price was $32,000.
We had ruled out Renewal Anderson Windows because of the cost! $100,000.
We have very little knowledge about window replacement companies and the guarantees that they provide.
We were told that Preservation has it's own installers who are well trained and if there is a problem, the company can't blame outside installers thereby voiding the guarantee.
Please provide any advice that can help us make an educated decision.
Thank you,

Re: replacement windows
I’d recommend getting another quote or two. Alside windows (Preservation) aren’t highly regarded. Renewal by Andersen is way overpriced, obviously, but don’t go to the other extreme and settle for a window that is below average.
Recommended manufacturers would be Soft-lite, Okna, Sunrise, Kensington, Polaris.

+1 to Randy's feedback.
What kind of windows do you have currently? Are they wood, vinyl, steel, aluminum, etc.?
