Down to Two

#1 Post by OCMan »

If you recall my travails in obtaining better than good/average double-hung windows, I'm down to two that it appears I can actually obtain: Sunrise and the Soft-Lite Elements. They are the only two of the better -- I hope among the best made -- windows I can obtain in my areas. Both require my own contractor.

So between the Soft-lite Elements and the Sunrise, what are your thoughts? Does one have more viewing/glass area than the other? I can't find any info on that.

I drove the two hours today to get a quote on the Soft-Lite, and I was quite pleased. Talks with Sunrise ongoing.

Thanks for any input.

Comes down to you, which looks better to you. Both are excellent.

Sunrise will have more glass, Soft-Lite will have slightly better performance.

Personally I'd make the Elements the easy choice, but the Sunrise does have more glass and should perform when installed properly... If these were casements I'd flip it and say the Sunrise.
