Soon I will be replacing my old solid wood windows (sounds like shame, doesn't it?) What are my options for disposing and/or recycling?
Thank you.
Disposing Old Windows
Donate your old windows ( and any other building supplies) to Habitat for Humanity.
Habitat for Humanity has stores that sell building materials, used or new, to raise money. You can find just about anything at these stores, it just depends on what's been donated; doors & windows, lighting, paint & stain, plumbing fixtures, hardware, lumber, glass blocks, cabinets, flooring, etc., etc.
This is a great place to look when remodeling a home, you can save a lot of money as well as doing something to help your community.
