Had 2 geometric shaped (READ: will only work one way!) windows ordered. They came in and the installer was here installing them when we noticed they were built backwards........the sloped sills ended up on the *inside* of the house.
The windows got installed, just so we didnt have holes in the house. Im not so much worried about water shedding away (the outside capping/stops are sloped enough to handle that), but I *am* worried about how the Low-E coating would be affected.
So, will the Low-E being reversed trap the heat between the panes and cause the outer (which is technically the inside) pane and/or spacer to overheat and leak?
We will be calling the window company tomorrow but I figured Id ask here first.
Thanks in advance.
