Sliding door not sliding

#1 Post by copykatpro »

I have a slider that I've been having a lot of trouble opening lately. I've tried to clean up any debris on and around the track but that hasn't helped. Is this a matter of lubricating the wheels or is there something else I should be looking at?

Sometimes wheels can get a flat spot on them over a period of time. This is often caused by small amounts of debris getting into the track and the wheel sliding on it rather than rolling over it. If you know the manuf. contact them and ask for a replacement. This is especially common with plastic wheels as opposed to steel, although it can happen with both types.

These are probably going to be your best two bets.
