Adding internal blinds on 12 year old Pella sliding doors

#1 Post by RosieLander »

I purchased a Pella sliding door about 12 years ago with the ability to add internal blinds between the two panes. I decided against the blinds but now want to add them. A Pella retail employees told me their design has changed, there is no way I can add a blind, and there is no after market to purchase an old blind. I'm looking for advice on options to pursue. Thanks to all who respond.

It sounds like you are on the right track. I'd try to reach some other folks at Pella headquarters for a recommendation, although it could very well be that you are out of luck. A poster here named Anthony is pretty well versed on Pella, perhaps he'll chime in.

First where are located?
Second you will want to speak to a vintage parts specialist at the distributor in your area.
Third do not hold your breath, Pella is not vey good at supporting their product after ten years.
