PPG stainless steel spacer vs cardinal

#1 Post by cromag »

PPG is a u-shaped spacer;stainless steel. in order to be a good spacer,it needs to expand and contract so there is no seal failure. does stainless steel expand and contract enough to ensre no seal failure?
is cardinal a better seal and why? only stainless for comp not super spacer.

I see no real benefit in using one over the other. Both work well.

i am still confused buddy. how will stainless steel expand and contract with glass to ensure no seal failure?
what is the advantage of a "u-shape" ?

The advantage is not so much in the stainless steel but in the "U" shaped design. The vertical sides of the "U" flex outward and inward as the glass expands and contracts.
