I need to replace the glass in ten hurd windows which had glass/spacer/film/spacer/glass. So two spacers. The windows are aluminum outside and wood interior. I had one outfit do the first two windows, but they stacked two spacers. Is this a acceptable way to do this? And if one spacer could be used.. Which one would be the best?
Thanks!
Which 1" spacer should I have my window guy install?

So stacking two spacers is the only option? Im pretty sure the total thickness including glass was 1"

If you are referring to 2 spacers being used to achieve a triple glazed glass unit as stacking, I am not aware of any other way. You can get a dual glazed 1" IG unti with just about any spacer type.

I dont want triple. I want a dual with one spacer total width of 1" Glass/one spacer/glass
If its available, I dont understand why I received the first windows with 2 spacers. Is this making any sense?
Iv got 8 windows yet to replace but want one spacer.

I would suggest checking with another glazing supplier.
A 1" overall IGU thickness is not at all rare.
