We recently had a large picture window installed.
I was just wondering how much spacing/gap needed between the window it self and the window frame? I questioned the installers about the gap, they said that the gap is needed to wiggle in the window. I feel that the gap is pretty significant, I thought that can be a measurement errors. I'm not window expert, know nothing about window installations. So I'm asking for help.
Please find the attached photos, and I have two questions:
1. Leaving such a wide gap, is this normal for window installation?
2. Is there safety concerns in the long run?
The installer filled the gap with fill-in materials, and then sealed up. Window looks fine, I just worried the heavy top arch, will they hold up?
Comments appreciated.

The arch windows are tough to line up perfectly. Looks like you will be fine though.

Thank you! For sure i needed some re-assurances.
I was afraid the gap might be a measurement error and might have some safety concerns. I called the company many times and voice my concern, they said they will send their installation manager to take a look, but the manager never showed up.

+1. Original openings are typically out of square, but the new window units need to be square. At times, one corner may be tight and another could be 1/2" gap. In a full frame or shape application like that, the gap can be bigger as well. I agree with Masterext, all looks pretty normal in your pictures.
