Milgard Trinsic vs Coeur d'Alene 3000 in Seattle

#1 Post by jreed »

We are replacing 4 sliding aluminum basement windows in a Seattle craftsman home (1908). We don't need anything fancy, just good quality, efficient, and good-looking for a basement remodel.

Three companies gave me quotes for Milgard Trinsic windows. One company uses Coeur d'Alene 3000 series windows.

Is one of them better? I can't find comparable performance data. They're comparable in price.

Thank you!!

Don't know of the other window, but it looks pretty good. That said, the Milgard is definitely a "known commodity" at this point.

Don't know if that would qualify as "expert" insight in this case. Just more of a general observation based on company history. If we are just going off of fear of loss, that should be slightly mitigated with the Milgard option.
