Opinion on Softlite-Pro Double Hung Windows

#1 Post by FWFranklin »

Hello All,
First off, great site and thanks to all that contribute information. For people like myself that do not have a lot of knowledge regarding windows, and find themselves having to purchase replacement windows, it is a great source!
I am looking to get some advice/opinions regarding a quote I received from a window company. For a Softlite Pro double hung (61-70) window, they are charging $735. For the same window in a another room (but listed as 91-100) the price is $756.
For a kitchen awning Kitchen
Awning (31.5x35.5), the price is $1014.52
Curious to see if forum members think this is reasonable, and was also wondering if someone could expain what the numbers (61-70 and 91-100) mean?
Thanks in advance!

Too many vairables to comment on price but seems well within the range. 91-100 is united inches.

With SL pricing, that would be the increased size increments based upon united inches. United inch is a measure of a width plus a height. For example, a 32" x 48" window would simply be 80UI.

More united inches cost more, awning and casements cost more per United Inch or square foot than double hungs.
