Installer wants me to remove all existing trim around old windows. Is this normal?

The company wants me to remove the existing trim around the old windows. House has older vinyl siding. These are very old aluminum windows from the 60's. The existing trim is different than what they use today. I thought this should be part of the install process. Am I wrong? I'm a fully disabled veteran and cannot perform this work.
