Polaris Ultraweld Installation Question

#1 Post by DriverSS »

I would like your thoughts on the installation so far. When we were getting quotes we had multiple people tell us that our original windows were unique and part of the old widow would actually stay on because it's slopped down and attached to the siding.
We just had the first half of our windows installed today. I know they aren't 100% done with them. They need to add the insulation and trim.
My question/concern is that there is a section in the bottom corner's of all the windows where I can see outside fairly easily. Is this something that will be taken care of with insulation or does something else need to be done? I've added pictures to help clarify what I'm talking about.

Thanks for the help.

Here are two pictures of the area without the windows. I asked and was told they would use spray foam to make sure it's air tight.

Properly spray foamed is the answer.

Looks fine so far. They should insulate and trim those gaps before finishing.

I agree with the other pros.

Its impossible to give a full stamp of approval from behind a computer screen, however I don't see any red flags at all.

Foam, seal, and cap and you are all good.
