Hello all,
South east Houston location, my aluminum replacement windows from the 90’s (?) are breaking at the corner welds. Looking to replace all of the windows on the front of the house, 5 original leaded glass (Tudor style) and 8 old aluminum replacement windows.
Sizes
12 - 2x6 feet
1 - 4x3 feet
Quote one. Box store.
Simonton unknown series $11,800
Quote two. (Neighbors recommendation) window installer.
NT (unknown series) $9,700
Vista Mark Endura $9,000
Quote Three. Highly recommended local company.
Burris tech AC $9,700 (recommended for thinner profile)
Don Young Aluminum $12,000
Quote four. Contacted NT windows and requested an installer in my area. This company does windows and siding.
Burris tech AC $8,400
Vista Mark $8,900
NT executive $9,100
Don Young Aluminum $10,400
*to be fair, the quotes are in order and I was upfront with how many quotes and rough numbers, which they basically all knew anyways.
We are planning on white windows, with external center grid. Possibly leaning towards bronze. If I do bronze I will go with DYC
My question. At the price points which window should I go for. Quotes 3 and 4 I like the install process better, They use foam and fill the cavity if any. All businesses have been operating 25+ years.
I hear great things on this forum about NT and DYC, but the most expensive installer with good recommendations liked and recommended Burris if I was going with vinyl.
So, I’m at a loss and looking for any assistance.
Thank you in advance.

Thanks guys.
White windows with external central grids I’m leaning towards Burris. I’ve had two reputable installers recommend Burris, specifically pointing out, not to worry about old Burris reviews while stating my windows are small so I do not need premium vinyl or aluminum.
Yeah really interested to see what Randy thinks.
Thanks again. Tons of great info in this site.
