Window won't stay up - slams down

#1 Post by Madgestwin »

We had Pacesetter replacement windows installed in our home 24 years ago and we have been exceedingly happy with them and still are! That being said, one of the double hung windows has lost its ability to hold any position once it is opened and raised. It just slams down. I know through research that Pacesetter is no longer in business. Who could I call that might be able to address this issue? Thanks!!!

Either the balances are broken or unconnected from the pivot pin.
Did it onset after someone washed the windows.?

+1.

Sadly...most times it's a user error or misuse.
