We are receiving bids for a replacement window project (retrofit install). There will be 3 single hung, 6 sliders and 1 special shaped window.
One of the estimates (Milgard Trinsic) mentions "standard Z-Bar installation", which I thought was used on stucco only. The siding on our home is not stucco, but wood. The brochure offers options of: Block/Z-Bar and Nail Fin. Six of the windows will have standard grids, colonial style.
I've asked this company to respond with my questions and so far they have not. Can someone here provide an explanation of the differences, and which is recommended?
Thank you

Re: Question Regarding Installation Configurations
Might just be a typo. Wood window removal would typically be called an insert or pocket style installation.
