Solution for window air conditioner

#1 Post by Rdudinack »

We recently had our windows replaced with Polaris ultraweld windows. Never imagined that our window air conditioner would not fit come summer but it doesn’t. We’ve tried multiple styles of air conditioners but are unable to get the sash to move far enough up to get the clearance needed to install. I’ve called the installation company and have not been called back! Extremely frustrated since we always could use a window air conditioner in the old windows. Any solution would be greatly appreciated.

That is not the fault of the installation company since they would not be responsible. Most companies usually have clauses for that as well.

Try removing the top sash and storing it in the garage for the summer

If your close to fitting you may also be able to just remove the sash from its shoes and leaving it in there but that may get you and extra inch or two. You need to watch some videos and learn how the shoes work so you don’t damage your window
