I'm going to replace one of my windows (Existing single-hung Simonton) with a Casement window (Pella 250, got a good deal). However, I'm not sure what kind of replacement I should order.
My supplier asked me if I required a "Block / Box Frame" or a "Integral 5/8" Flange" - I'm not sure at all.

I just want to be sure I am ordering the correct one so my contractor doesn't have problems.

It was cheaper than Andersons or a Simonton from the quotes I obtained from my supplier..

Re: Replacement Window - Questions about an order
This is a question for your contractor. Ideally, he/she would be placing the order, otherwise you are asking for the blame to be placed squarely on yourself should anything go wrong. The answer to your question depends on how he intends to install it.
Secondly, I'd agree with what I believe rickenz was insinuating, in that the product in question is not highly regarded and therefore a "good deal" may not be an apt description at any price.
I realize that you didn't ask for this advice, but you are pretty much breaking every cardinal rule of setting a window replacement project up for success, from the product choice, to sourcing product and labor separately, to making decisions that should be made by others, etc.
If this were more than one window I'd strongly recommend that you reconsider, but I suppose with just the one you can close your eyes and cross your fingers.

Re: Replacement Window - Questions about an order
When we replace flanged vinyl new construction with a built in j-channel receiver that allows for the siding to be installed without vinyl j-channel, we go back in with the same design unless the siding panels are cut very short in length. The actual flange is much more than 5/8" as that is what gets back caulked and screwed or nailed to the sheathing. The face built in j-receiver is probably what they consider 5/8". That's what you want. The siding will be removed and reinstalled in this application typically. Hope that helps.
