Alside excalibur vs. Traco liberty please help!

#1 Post by chrapko »

Hi window guys,

I am looking at replacing all my current aluminum no e windows with one of the above. I have had bids from 5 different companies and have come down to these two. From my discussions with the owners of each of these local companies, I believe that I will get a good installation from either.

So, that said, I believe that the Traco product is slightly superior (triple weather stripping vs. double, brass bearing rollers and removable track in the sliders on the Traco, etc.) So the question is...is the Traco worth the extra money? The bid on Traco is 8050 and the bid on Alside is 7474.

Also, should I pay 432 extra for a Performer patio door (uses wood)from Amerimax or settle for the Amerimax 5900 hollow vinyl patio door?

Thank you for reading! I can't wait to finalize this decision!

How many windows do you actually have and does that quote include the patio door...?

I have 13 windows (6 double hung and 7 sliders) and the prices do include the patio door.

Thanks.
