Marvin Low E windows and Tint

Has anybody tinted these low e windows and had problems. Narvin will cancel the warranty but I live on the water and need extra protect from sun. I am looking at both Solar Guard (silver 35) and Sun Guard ( Signature 35) andy comments. Thanks in addvance

Marvin's IG's all come from Cardinal. Cardinal is very specific that they will not warranty windows when after market tint film is applied to the window. Obviously, Marvin echoes that issue.
There is a good chance that the glass will break if you apply the tint and you have Low-E coating (likely) and plenty of sunlight hitting that window.
I understand your glare problem, but you may end up with bigger problems.
A suggestion, if you have only a few that need tint, contact Marvin about changing the IG's to a tinted Low-E glass (Cardinal 140).
