You will get a split opinion among the experts on this one. It comes down many times to what the window we use has, what we are used to using, and what luck we have had with it.
Many have had excellent luck with block and tackle, but I have had better luck with constant force.
I have used the block and tackle in some Sunrise window orders and had horrible results.
Other pros swear by them,.... though I've only sweared AT them. I'll never use them again.

I'm with W4U. I have better luck with the constant force system. I feel it lifts the window more consistantly. I know Andersen uses the block and tackle system and I've reparied plenty of them. I'm just pointing out what I like though. I know some block and tackle products work well. I guess it's just a crap shoot.
