Was under the impression that the seal was warrantied for 20 yrs, only to find out that is 10 yrs. Out of 6 (x2 top and bottom) windows 9 of 12 seals have failed causing fogging between the 2 panes of glass. Would never buy Harvey's again.

I had ALL my windows replaced with the signature series windows five years ago by my contractor and have had nothing with problems everytime I attempt to clean these windows. They have a faulty inferior plastic piece inside the track that breaks if the windows are angled even slightly when putting them back into place. I have called the Londonderry NH location and although they admit the problem they would only send me replacement hardware but they constantly break when removed from the track for cleaning. These windows have a twenty year warranty but work with contractors-not consumers! My contractor retired two years ago.. I would never reccommend these windows to anyone

I replaced all 20 windows in my home 8 years ago and would recommend Harvey replacement windows to anyone who asked. The north side of the house gets a lot of wind/weather and living by the water they take a beating and are still 100% effective and look fantastic, my heating bill was cut in half since we put them in. Definetly worth the investment.

I am an architect and I have to say that I bought a home with Harvey windows, and they were only a few months old. I should have looked at them closer because they may do a great marketing campaign, but the windows are really no better than the cheap ones at home depot. The instalation seemed ok, but Harvey does NOT make a quality window, and as for the warranty, be ready for a run around, because thats all I got.

About a year ago we installed replacement windows. The company's website states that these windows never need replacement--half of the windows have had to be adjusted and some of them still do not work properly. I am unsure whether the problem is with the window or the installation. I have called the manufacturer's customer service department for assistance but they have been unhelpful--the department's manager was rude and insulting--what transpired from the conversation is that the Customer Service department assists builders, not consumers. I am not what in retail we refer to as a "high maintenance customer"--one of the installers damaged the newly-refinished floor and ceiling of one of the rooms but I said nothing, since it was minor and did not want to create ill-will. My cousin installed this same window in his house and has no problems--did the work himself, but I will not use this brand for the rest of the house because of the bad experience and lack of follow-through in fixing the problem.

They installed 19 windows in one day, cleaned up and were very helpful in showing me what they were doing. I will use them again for other work
Price Information
I paid 289.oo ea. installed. That included low e and argon gas. It was a special deal from Harvey that there was no extra charge for the low e and gas. Im glad I didnt try to do it myself! Dont pay to much for your vinyl windows! Get several quotes.

I installed them myself, not too hard to do. If you have rotted wood that needs to be replced, especially sills, have someone else do it to save yourself time. Since these are fully encased windows, I felt I put them in as good if not better than a regular installer. I did have a few done by a company where window sills were rotted, 6 overall. I did the remaining 18.
Price Information
Price from installer was $350 [er with Grids and low e/Argon. Back in 2004 Price doing it myself about $210 per window plus a few cylinders of caulk
