I had Window World install Sheffields about a month ago. Couldn't be happier with the window, price and install. Remember that WW is a franchise, some locations are better than others. They rename the Sheffield the Comfortworld 6000. This is for sure the best choice, make sure it's the Sheffield and...

This might help.

I had Sheffields installed about 3 weeks ago. I love everything about them and paid about $425 installed with aluminum tearout and some upgrades.

Good luck.

Window World in Denver is a good outfit.

Don't dismiss their prices AND service.

I just had Sheffields installed. VERY happy with EVERYTHING about my purchase.

I guess I don't see what the big deal is about storms. My then future wife had storms on her old house and didn't want new windows because it would've affected the historical nature of the originals. So, I guess we're geniuses. We put the storms on in the winter and took them off in March or April. ...

The experts here will want to know WHICH window this is for.

No way to know unless this info is provided.

Most of the pros here are quite helpful, if a bit biased about their advice. Not every homeowner has $12-25K to spend on windows, regardless of how much better an "upgraded choice" might be than say the Sheffield or Simonton 5500. Here in Denver, home prices are falling and we lead the nat...

I shopped around for about 12 windows in your price range. For about $425 per window (LowE, Argon, Grids) I'm getting the Alside Sheffield. By most accounts here, it's a solid (not perfect) mid-level window. Some complain about the sill design, but we don't get much rain here in Denver, so I don't t...

Just a few Q's. Alside, SuperSpacer & Thermastar

I'm almost done with my decision making process, but I have a few more q's. 1. I know that Thermstar isn't highly rated at all, but I've got a 60wx48h Garden window that is quite expensive. I can get a Thermastar at Lowes for about $1000 installed. LowE, side vent windows. I really don't have the ex...

I agree that picture is pretty bad. Knowing that there were issues with installations, I made it clear to the saleguy that came out that I expected a good job. His response to me was "If you're not happy, we're not happy (as you would expect). But he also told me that they did have one guy work...

Hi Susan- I just had our local WW rep come out last week. He was about as upfront and honest during his salespitch as he could be (I know, I'm in sales and I usually dislike the approach of most salespeople). As I mentioned in a couple of previous threads, I've done a fairly comprehensive search of ...

I've never heard of a double-pane IGU with Low-E on all four glass surfaces. Both PPG and Cardinal manufactured glass will put the coating on one surface, which is usually the outside pane in-facing (2) surface, but sometimes the inside pane out-facing (3) surface. Your salesperson was probably eit...

I'm certainly not an expert, but my post refers to a double pane, with lowE on all four surfaces (it's an upgrade of $30 I think). The winters here in Denver aren't all that bad, but I do get some heat gain all year round because of the sun. The windows have Argon and I think I'll be covered without...
