Re: How to get max glass on replacement windows??!!
I am certainly a rookie here, but, just to let you know that Simonton produces wide double hung windows if you are thinking of replacing your DH sets with one. They are currently building two 55W x 69H for us.

Re: Bill Marvin
Even though I didn't know "Bill", he responded to my question in such a detailed and knowledgeable way, I knew "Bill" was certainly a concerned and caring gentleman. Bill's answer to my recent "rookie" question was evidence of his love for the window industry. Sincere c...

NEAT Glass Treatment
Has anyone used the Neat Glass Treatment (Cardinal Glass) and, if so, does it work? I don't know how much extra this option cost? It's been suggested to me that this is a gimmick. Does anyone know if it works and is it worth the extra cost? Thank You.

Re: Direct sun glare and reflection off water
I do appreciate all of your suggestions/comments. We are in the Kansas City area and are not fortunate enough to see whales or turtles very often......we would rather be @ the beach however. I took your advise and contacted Cardinal Glass. They also suggested Low E 240 except Simonton doesn't use 24...

Re: Direct sun glare and reflection off water
I certainly appreciate your research and suggestions. It has been invaluable to me. I have given my predicament to a "researcher" that Simonton actually referred me to. After discussions with her colleagues, she said she didn't have good news for me. She doesn't think anything they have wi...

Direct sun glare and reflection off water
We are in the process of selecting new windows. We are strongly considering the Simonton Prism Platinum line. Our house is waterfront with the sun not only streaming directly into our back windows, but, also reflecting off of the water. We have no coverings on these windows so selecting the correct ...

Opinions of large double hung and sliding windows.
I am needing to replace my current wood casement windows and am really, really concerned with the appearance of vinyl replacement windows. I am considering Simonton windows. They will build 60/40 double hung windows for my 55W x 70H openings. I have heard some opinions with reservations regarding th...
