Thank you renard. Like the skill saw idea. Neither installer that I have had here has said they are going to install a new exterior stop. Only cover it with the wrapping. So new wood stops should be part of the install?

OK, I am looking at Simonton 9800, Alside Ultramax, Okna 400 or 500 series, Thermal Industries 530, Gorell. independent contractor that installs Thermal Industries 530 windows coming tomorrow. Any comments on comparisons? Which company or window would you install?

Actually the questions were:

1. Where do you find the test results for vinyl windows as far as air infiltration, etc.
2. Recommendations for vinyl replacement windows for the Charlotte, NC. area.
