OK ... I'm convinced. The Andersen 400 inserts are out. I'm going with one of the other 3 that we previously discussed. Now, I have to figure out which one I like best. Again, I thank everyone for their input.

In a double-hung, is there any notable difference in performance between the Vanguard and Elements that would give one an advantage over the other? If so, under what circumstances would those advantages (if any) become a significant consideration? Also, forgetting for the moment that the Andersen 40...

WOW --- Is there a significant difference in price between the Bainbridge and other windows offered by Soft-Lite? Or might the other models have characteristics that don't fit my criteria? Like I said, quality, not cost, is my primary objective.
