Re: Laminated glass vs. tempered glass
My husband was concerned about security. They are not required by code. We'll see after all the math is done. Again, thanks for all the responses!

Re: Laminated glass vs. tempered glass
I really appreciate everyone's input here. It's making the decision a little easier. We live in what I would consider a safe area, and I think the laminated may be more than is necessary. p.s. as to the "guard" dog, our Lab thinks anyone (even someone breaking in) would be there just to pl...

Re: Laminated glass vs. tempered glass
Yes, they are the dealer and the Imperial LS was the window they quoted us on. We're just trying to decide if we want to go with the laminated window glass. I now know to ask as to where they are getting their glass and the quality of it.

Is there a significant difference (other than the price) for getting KeepSafe glass vs. tempered glass for security purposes? We're looking at replacing windows which have easy access from our deck, and were concerned with the potential security issues. I understand the laminated glass raises the pr...

Vinyl Replacement windows - Raleigh NC
We're looking to replace just 4 windows and have gotten quotes from Sears, Kingsford Windows (using their Soft-lite product) and Window Works, a local company (using Andersen 400 series). The prices are somewhat competitive, with Kingsford coming in a little less. Does anyone in this area of the cou...
