I went with Marvin the rep is also installing them. The Kolbe dealer did not install. I liked the window but dont know any installers since we just moved to the area in early spring.

Thanks for your response.
I have decided to use Dave (windows4U) on my project.
We are using Marvin repacement windows since we want to keep the wood look on the inside.

His prices were fair and he is very knowledgable.

Any comments on the Alside product

Just got a quote from a dealer for 8 77 x 34 windows for $5,700

I like the product - it seems solid to me and has good warranty

Just had a Loewen dealer in here for a quote - they were also an Alside dealer we have 8 - 77 x 32 windows plus 2 half rounds to replace. The Loewen price was higher than Anderson - about the same as the Pella Architectural Windows - $11,500 We also looked at the Alside UltraMaxx - $5,800 - the colo...

I wouldnt use Crestline

We had them installed in our new house in WI and they leaked after 9 months.
They are cheap windows.

Remember you get what you pay for.

Look at Schuco for good replacements

They are over 12 years though

I just got a $8600 quote for 6 windows and a clear 52' half moon from Home Depot for Anderson 400 series - this includes installation etc. Approx 965 a window sizes are 4 windows 24w x 77h 4 windows 32w x 77h They are also pushing Simonten windows which are 30% less. They look cheap. We need vinyl ...

I appreciate it.
I dont mind the vinyl look on the outside but I dont like the inside grills Simonten has. Ours are all on the outside and they look better.

Crestline is junk

We built a new house in WI two years ago and used Crestline

It started leaking and the windows got fogged up within 6 month.
Menards wouldnt honor the warranty - Crestline blamed us. They said there was too much condensation in our home - which is crap.

Never buy Crestline
