Re: Estimate Help
For those curious, they do gift card raffle entries for reviews, with a well known and open loophole to review all 4 branches.

Re: Estimate Help
I looked it up after WDC mentioned it, and I have to admit it does look weird... That said, the shady stuff is typically done by small companies trying desperately to establish a reputation, not companies that do eight figures in yearly volume and have 100 employees... If I had to take a guess, I'd...

Re: Estimate Help
Appreciate it guys. I'll just ask the sales person what the deal is.

Re: Estimate Help
Since I can't find a PM function, I'll put this here. I found an OKNA dealer in NKY, America's Window. From what I can find via reviews and old posts on both this site and similar forums frequented by the same experts, its a good company. Planning on getting a quote on the 500's. One lingering quest...

Re: Estimate Help
Were you happy with the product and install/install company on the first phase? If so, you are really rolling the dice if you were to veer away from that. There's a reason that this industry has a bad reputation, so if you've found one of the good guys, stick with them. As far as the product itself...

Re: Estimate Help
Out of curiosity, and without visiting showrooms to compare window designs.... How different is the look of one brand of white vinyl window compared to another? I really don't need a window as high quality as the Elements considering the porch is not heated or cooled. Would stepping down to a lower ...

Re: Estimate Help
Looking into finishing off the job and getting the old wood windows on my enclosed porch replaced. 3 windows with transoms above are almost as much as the rest of the house was.

Re: Estimate Help
Windows were done about a week ago, still getting use to the way they look compared to the old industrial looking steel casements. One day install and from what I can tell so far the only downside is a few of the old sills cracked, which I'll take considering how messy that removal is. Thanks for th...

Re: Estimate Help
Well. I pulled the trigger on the Elements TP. $5824 installed. Technical measurements are being done in the next few days. Windows should be installed right after spring arrives and the cold air goes away.
Thanks everyone

Re: Estimate Help
The Ultra Weld is Double Pane, ....it feels kind of ridiculous to not take advantage of it. Agreed. Frankly, triple versus double on 10 windows you are actually paying a lower price for the Elements. TP upgrade costs more that $50 per window Also: my casements all have storm windows attached to the...

Re: Estimate Help
The Ultra Weld is Double Pane, probably should have mentioned that. Double Pane is really all I need, but with that small of a difference between the 2....it feels kind of ridiculous to not take advantage of it. I'm in Cincy. Also: my casements all have storm windows attached to the exterior. Added ...

Re: Estimate Help
Yeah, I was hoping for something closer to 5k with the Polaris. Wonder if I can wiggle the Element down any more.

Re: Estimate Help
So. Polaris Ultraweld came back at $5,500, frame and sash foam filled; but they have a 54" double hung and I don't have to deal with a slider.
Not the price difference I was hoping for. Also has a disclaimer that it doesn't include cost of any EPA lead safe practices.

Re: Estimate Help
Not that its a huge difference, but I miss spoke. The Softlites that were quoted are the Element and the Barrington. NOT The Bainbridge.
Still waiting on that Polaris Bid.
Thanks for the feedback so far.
