I have Acorn windows, I know, they are horrible! They sweat / frost every winter. Many have broken glass.
I can't figure out how to get the fixed pane out of the window so I can bring it in to be fixed.
HELP!
THanks

On their aluminum windows, they had a vinyl or aluminum glazing bead on the interior. In some cases, the glazing bead is on the exterior.
To remove the glass, you remove the glazing bead. Carefully pry the vinyl bead up and toward the glass. Once you get this started, it will be easier. On the aluminum beads, some had a wedge gasket between the glass and the aluminum bead. You need to remove this first. Start in a corner where the gasket is not continuous. Pry the gasket up like the vinyl bead. Again, once you get this started, this will get easier.

If you are doing multiple units, this may be a task best left to a glazing contractor. If you break one unit putting them back you will likely have paid for the cost of a professional to come out and do this work.
