Okna Insul Tec - 500 + Patio door

#1 Post by whizzer13 »

Hi all I got a quote for some Okna Insul Tec windows and a new patio door as follows:

1 Elegante Patio Door
6 Double hung Insl Tec windows upgraded to triple pane
1 picture window 1/4, 1/2/ 1/4 with casement windows on the ends.

For around $7,150

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks

I am assuming the patio door is double pane?
The 2 casements and picture window is double pane as well?
Only the double hungs are triple pane?
If so and its all white, that is excellent pricing.
Any grids?
Is the exterior white or dark brown?

Sorry for not providing all the details.

Patio door is double pane.

2 casements and picture are also triple pane.
All white including the exterior
No grids.

Seems very reasonable given the triple pane aspect of the windows and quality of the units.

Thanks all. I was looking for a fair deal.

I did half the windows last year and fell for the window world windows. I was at fault for not doing my research. So when we decided to do the rest of the house I was looking at 3 better windows. The Okna's, Sunrise, and Softlite. The Okna's 500 price and Softlite Element's price were very competitive between the two. The dealer for the Sunrise was significantly higher $2,000+. We decided to go with the Okna's because that dealer was local too the town versus 30 miles away for the Softlite dealer.

Anyhow thanks for all the great posts on here as you guys helped me find a better product I am sure in the end.

Thanks all for the wonderful comments. I will try to post some pics if I get a chance and I will make sure I let you all know how the install went. I have been very impressed with the company to this point. Definitely a more positive experience then my Window World experience. Guess everyone learns in their own way at times.

Just remember. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.

I definitely did my homework this time around.

All just an update the windows were finished installed yesterday and the company was fabulous. The attention to detail by the crew was fabulous. They definitely went above and beyond with even answering questions about some WW windows and making some adjustments for me on the WW windows.

By the time they were done they had cleaned up very well we did not find trash or scraps laying around the house or yard. The windows are beautifully designed and I would recommend them to anyone.

You can definitely tell the difference between the WW windows that were installed last year and the Okna Insul-Tecs.

I will post some pictures when I get a chance.

Thanks everyone
