Great question. I've not seen one of these but maybe I'll get together a more formal list. For now, check the seal around the edge of the windows to ensure it appears water tight. With so many smaller window manufacturers out there, there really are a lot of options. Pella's lower end products are generally known to be extremely reliable and lasting, although their price may remain slightly above some of the competition.

So I have a modest house 1300 sq ft ranch with 7 double hung, 1 tri pain kitchen window, 1 picture window. How good of window should I get if in 20 to 30 years windows should be better than they are today? Should I go triple pain, I am in central NY and temps get down to -10 and ave 15 F or so. Tha...
