Just how I like my ladies.

I thought my analogies were pretty good, i'm guessing that you secretly liked them as well or your panties wouldn't be in a bunch. Sounds like the OP made the right choice either way.

I'd try to find something more airtight personally. Leaky patio doors are a big source of complaints

Yep. You are going backwards here. Most visitors start with this type of thread and finish with your other one after education themselves.

Re: Okna 500, 800 vs Sunrise Restoration

BTW Sunrise has a .02 air infiltration rating and is an excellent window. In the southern Ohio area we have no issues with the surface 4 low e. I don't have Okna in my market so I can't comment on them other than they are well regarded. Y0u have some great options and don't think you could go wrong...

Re: Soft-Lite Elements vs. Renewal by Anderson

I’ll stand by my order , but as I said I can see some switching the 2 and 3 spot. Even your prior replies would support my order. The Pro May be old but was clearly ahead of its time and is still better most. Window tech moves slowly and often not forward. Even the Element is getting old and it’s c...

Re: Soft-Lite Elements vs. Renewal by Anderson

This is why ; For one, your list is comparing windows and I would place the Lotus in the number 2 slot but I have no problem with those that would put the Sunrise there then the Walsh in 4th. I would put horse poop ahead of cow poop then dog, but that would depend on the use you are grading it upon...

Not sure if Id call that an excellent price, but it is awfully low that's for sure. Good window, hopefully you are getting a good install at that price.

Re: recommendations for fixing leaky replacement window?

I don't think that the glass replacement is the issue, it looks like the mullion where the windows meet is the issue. Was that installed like that from the get-go?

Re: Soft-Lite Elements vs. Renewal by Anderson

Replies like that Makes one wonder why a home owner would come to a board such as this for advice. Why is that? Was my opinion unclear? Or did I simply offend your delicate sensibilities with the comparison? As you can tell, I'm not high on Zen or their window. I think that my opinion is more valua...

Elements
Sunrise
Renewal
Walsh
Cow poop
Horse poop
Dog poop
Zen

Re: Window comparisons

I wouldn't put full frames in an old home like that unless the original window frames are already gone. Even then, you are asking for trouble with that installation leaving trim in place.
