Re: Soft-Lite windows

ABC doesn't carry Soft-Lite windows. The quote I got was from a local dealer, I need to go visit their store to get the the pricing for SL's other models but can't seem to make my way over with the hours i work.

Re: Soft-Lite windows

Am I right thinking this way? The reason I think I would be better with the Soft Lite Barrington over Simonton 5500 and Alside Mezzo is that it has good rating for what it is. 0.07 air filtration is very good for a entry level window or am I missing something? I will try to see if a can get a higher...

Re: Soft-Lite windows

Yes the Soft-Lite Barrington is one on top of the list right now. Before I found out about Soft-Lite window on the site I was debating between The Alside Mezzo and Simonton 5500 which both were around $225-250 per window and with the Barrington being $229, wouldn't that make it a no brainer to go wi...

Re: Soft-Lite windows

It is what it is. I was quoted $229 for a Soft-Lite Barrington which isn't a bad window so I'm sure for $300 I should be able to get something decent. Yes I won't get a Okan or Sunrise window but I don't really need a high end window.

Re: Soft-Lite windows

I know you can't trust the big box stores as they don't know much about the important details of the product that they sell. M budget is $300 per window uninstalled of course since I will be installing myself. The thing is I have 17 windows and since I don't plan to live in this house more than 10 y...

triple pane would be nice but it won't work within my budget, trying to stay at $300 per window.

Re: Soft-Lite windows

Thanks! That is one of the things that I have learned while being on this forum to look at these numbers although I don't know where to draw the line. I was at a ABC Supply store and the store manger there told me oh U factor around .30 is good enough, he said you don't need to spend the extra money...

Re: Soft-Lite windows

Honestly i am very sorry about that! I guess I should have made myself clear when I posted what I was looking for. Before I came to this forum I never really heard of Soft-Lite, Sunrise, Okna windows. I heard of Simonton, Pella, Alside ect. and before I go ahead and spend $5000 on windows I would li...

Re: Replacement window question

I will be installing the windows myself and my budget is $300 per window. I know was quoted $229 for Soft-Lite Barrington, around $250 for Simonton 5500 but I am sure Soft-Lite Elements or Imperial LS will be way above $300. Curious what is wrong with the other lines from Soft-Lite? I don't necessar...

Re: Soft-Lite windows

I wasn't trying to dig up complaints / bad reviews or anything like that just came across that post and was a little surprised that he had that many issues out of 18 windows. I know stuff happens and I was just wondering if anyone here had any issues of any kind.
