I’d consider the lift rail and interlock part of the sashes, but that’s just me. We agree there is room for improvement on that window. I also like to screw through the head

Re: okna 600 eco pro v sunrise restorations
I’d take the Okna eve if it were more. Not fond of the Sunrise frame, sashes , lift rails. or interlock. Would love to see there air numbers on a unit that is a few years old. You forgot the worst part which is the sill. Always need to screw them to prevent frowning which is not desirable. I’d enco...

Good advice above. There are nice sliders out there, but not sure I want a leakier style above my tub. Pw, tw ca, tw dh, in that order

Re: Estimate Help
If the guy’s pricing was fair on the first phase, no reason to think it is on the second. I agree with the above, be careful about over analyzing things.

Re: Window Shopping Results... not really a question
I agree, although like toddinmn, I have a very low opinion of the sunrise dh. For the life of me I can’t figure out why some guys recommend it, it’s on the same level as Berkshire in my book. A flimsy window that gets above average ratings, but in real life nobody really knows how given it’s questio...

You have some good choices there, I wouldn't bother with Zen or Universal

Get argon. You could also ask for a quote on the 800 series. It actually outperforms the Starmak in most areas

Re: Soft-Lite and Sunrise Comparison
Tn, the consensus is pretty clear that the conversation should start and end with the Elements and LS. The other lower end units are not top options. The reviews on that dealer seem to be mixed as well. If you have a good quote on the elements line that is a winner.

Re: Soft-Lite and Sunrise Comparison
+1 There is a pretty substantial jump in product from the Imperial pro to the Imperial LS. I agree. Big jump between those lines, larger than the numbers would lead you to belive. I don't like going lower than the ls, and I'm a big softlite fan. I'm not a fan of zen either. The idea is sound when y...

Re: Replacing windows- Kansas- any suggestions?
That is not reinforcement. It's piece of sill expander stuck into a chamber in the meeting rail.
