Price is okay. I was thinking more like 750-800.
I would require that the unit above the bath tub is tempered.

Interior air humidity combined with a little cold air infiltration and edge of glass cold will probably cause the problem you are mentioning. The casements are inherently better sealing windows and there is little to no air coming in as compared to the double hungs. I would see if the problem lessen...

Couple of things, as windowman mentioned, there are a bunch of good manufacturers of triple pane windows with Krypton/Argon. You need to shop that price because it is horrible. I would also stay away from a company that tries to scare you into their product. Fiberglass is a nice option, however, you...

That looks rather expensive for what looks like pretty standard good triple pane windows.

Re: Your opinions, facts, and discussions are greatly
You should be happy with the Sheffield. You get a little less glass but a very sturdy extrusion. If it were me, I would run a reinforcing beam of steel or wood in the opening and the divide the window into equal, but smaller units. Especially if considering vinyl. The Sheffield mullion is not like a...

Lets be clear that I wasn't accusing anyone of trying to slander Alside or manipulate the truth in an effort to do so. I was asking the natural follow up question about Low-e. Great, we have established the presence of Low-e argon. Thank you for clarifying what I know to be true. When I was talking ...

Lets compare apples to apples so that I do not appear to be blindly brand loyal. Your idea of not that cold outside in Chicago and the temperature differentials that he would experience in Dallas are worlds apart. True the higher end models do have CRF's in the mid 50's for the dual pane units with ...

Are we talking about a steel buck frame or just a metal window? Steel buck frame requires the installation of interior trim and sills. If you just have a metal window and already have all the interior casing and sills, no way would I ever leave that frame in. Like the guys said, you just need to kno...
